Panthers roll past Republic County, 27-7

BELLEVILLE — The Concordia seventh grade girls' basketball team wrapped up its regular season with a 27-7 win over Republic County Middle School on Thursday.
Concordia led the game 7-4 through one quarter of play.
The Panthers pumped in 10 points in the second period, and limited Republic County to one point, to go up 17-5 at halftime.
Concordia doubled up Republic County 4-2 in the third quarter to make it 21-7.
The Panthers shut out Republic County in the final stanza and scored six points.
Jaylin Roush led Concordia with 17 points. Mya Niehues added eight points.
The Concordia seventh and eighth grade combined B-team downed Republic County, 16-2.
Ava Metro scored six points.
Concordia will be seeded third in the North Central Kansas League Tournament to be played next week.
The Panthers will host Republic County in the first round on Monday.
