Panthers squeeze out pair of victories

Pushed to three sets in each match, the Concordia eighth grade volleyball team posted a pair of home wins over Wamego on Monday.
Concordia dropped the first set of the first match, 25-22.
The Panthers rolled to a 25-8 victory in the second set and won the third and deciding set, 15-11.
Wamego won the first set of the second match.
Concordia took the second set 25-19 and closed out the match by winning the third set, 15-13.
“Two very exciting and close matches,” Concordia coach Jennifer Garcia said. “I am so proud of the girls for pushing and playing hard until the last point. They played with heart. They are improving so much and have so much talent to show.”
Concordia won the B-team match in three sets, 26-24, 14-25, 15-8.
