Phillipsburg defeats CHS JV in OT

PHILLIPSBURG — Outscored 13-5 in overtime, the Concordia junior varsity boys' basketball team lost 55-47 on Tuesday.
Concordia led the game 12-10 after one quarter of play.
Outscoring Phillipsburg 13-11 in the second period, Concordia was up 25-21 at halftime.
Phillipsburg scored 11 points in the third quarter, to eight for Concordia, to close the gap to 33-32.
Concordia added nine points in the fourth period. Phillipsburg scored 10 to the game at 42-42 and forced overtime.
Phillipsburg then limited Concordia to five points in the extra period, and scored 13.
Jonathan Turner led three Concordia players in double figures with 14 points.
Lewis VanMeter scored 12 points for Concordia and Luke Donovan added 10.
The Concordia C-team downed Phillipsburg, 21-9.
Donovan scored 14 points.
