Seventh grade boys place third in meet
WAMEGO — The Concordia Junior High School boys' and girls' track and field teams competed in the Wamego Invitational last Thursday.
The Concordia seventh grade boys finished third with 94 points.
Concordia placed fourth in the eighth grade girls' division with 69 points.
The Concordia seventh grade girls were fourth with 56 points and the eighth grade boys were seventh with 46 points.
Those individuals and relay teams placing in the top six for the Concordia seventh grade boys include:
First – Isaias Irigoyen, 200 dash, 26.49 and high jump, 5-2; Koehn Williams, javelin, 101-8; Burke Kindel, pole vault, 8-6; Drake Blochlinger, 100 dash, 12.68; Burke Kindel, pole vault, 8-6; 4x100 relay, 51.69.
Third – Blochlinger, long jump, 15-2; 4x200 relay, 1:58.91.
Fourth – Deekon Holbert, javelin, 94-10; Boone Richard, 400 dash, 1:05.38.
Fifth – Boone Richard, long jump, 14-5 ¾; Irigoyen, 400 dash, 1:06.16.
Sixth – Holbert, discus, 81-10; Ryker Wildeman, pole vault, 7-0.
Those placing for the Concordia eighth grade girls include:
First – Kynlee Hamel, 100 dash, 13.15; Charlize Cash, triple jump, 31-1, and 100 hurdles, 18.27.
Second – Rylie Jessup, triple jump, 29-4; Charlize Cash, long jump, 14-5 ½; 4x100 relay, 54.50.
Third – Jessup, 800 run, 2:45.92.
Fourth – Hamel, 200 dash, 28.48.
Fifth – Bella Stuber, discus, 67-1 ½.
Sixth – Samantha Bartlett, 200 dash, 31.94; Ilyssa Maya, long jump, 13-2 ½; 4x400 relay, 5:29.40.
Those placing for the seventh grade girls include:
First – 4x200 relay, 2:05.27.
Second – Gabrielle Lange, high jump, 4-8; Mya Niehues, 1,600 run, 6:12.40; 800 sprint medley relay, 2:15.12.
Third – tie - Lange and Trinity McWhorter, pole vault, 6-6.
Fourth – Lillian Nuss, 200 dash, 29.90; 4x100 relay, 58.37.
Fifth – Brexlynn Koch, 200 dash, 30.19.
Sixth – Madalyn Bowers, 100 dash, 14.12; Skye Johnson, 800 run, 3:03.49.
Placing for the eighth grade boys include:
First – Grayson Stephens, 100 dash, 11.66; 200 dash, 24.39 and 400 run, 55.40; Rush LeDuc, javelin, 137-9.
