Seventh grade drops Republic County

BELLEVILLE — Getting out to a 24-5 halftime lead, the Concordia seventh grade boys' basketball team opened its season with a 34-23 road win over Republic County on Thursday.
Concordia led 13-3 after one quarter of play.
Limiting Republic County to just two points in the second period, the Panthers tossed in 11 points to make it 24-5 at halftime.
Concordia managed just three points in the third quarter, and Republic County scored just two points.
Republic County poured in 16 points in the final stanza to seven points for the Panthers.
Grayson Farha led Concordia with 11 points.
