Seventh grade girls fall to Fort Riley

Unable to overcome a nine-point halftime deficit, the Concordia seventh grade girls' basketball team fell 26-23 to Fort Riley in the season opener on Thursday.
Concordia trailed 17-8 at halftime.
The Panthers pumped in 10 points in the third quarter, to four for Fort Riley, to close the gap to 21-18.
Each team scored five points in the final period as Fort Riley held on for the win.
Charlize Cash paced Concordia with 5 points. Rylie Jessup scored six points.
Fort Riley grabbed an 11-6 lead after one quarter of play.
Concordia was limited to two points in the second stanza. Fort Riley scored six points to make it 17-8 at halftime.
Playing two quarters, the Concordia B-team shut out Fort Riley, 8-0.
