Seventh grade girls place fourth

CLAY CENTER — Rock Creek defeated the Concordia seventh-grade girls' basketball team 37-17 in the third-place game of the North Central Kansas League tournament on Thursday.
Concordia led the game 8-7 after one quarter of play.
Rock Creek doubled up the Panthers, 8-4, in the second stanza to take a 15-12 halftime lead.
Concordia was outscored 12-4 in the third quarter.
Rock Creek added 10 points in the final period to three for the Panthers.
Rubi Trost scored five points for Concordia.
The Panthers fell 42-19 to Wamego in the semifinals on Thursday.
Wamego had a 19-5 lead at halftime and tacked on 23 points in the second half while allowing just 14 points.
Trost and Kingly Kisby scored six points each for Concordia.
