Seventh grade thumps Republic County, 34-3

BELLEVILE — The Concordia seventh grade boys' basketball team opened its season with a 34-3 romp over Republic County in a road game on Thursday.
Concordia shut out Republic County in the first quarter, and scored 12 points.
The Panthers added nine points in the second period, and again blanked Republic County, to make it a 21-0 game at halftime.
Concordia was limited to three points in the third period, but Republic County managed just two points.
The Panthers outscored Republic County 10-1 in the final period.
Luke Donovan led Concordia with 17 points.
No other Panther scored more than five points.
