T-Birds compete in Greeno/Dirksen

LINCOLN, Neb. — The Cloud County Community College men's and women's cross country runners competed in the Greeno/Dirksen Invitational, hosted by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Nebraska Wesleyan University, Saturday at Mahoney Golf Course.
Scoring 390 points, the Cloud County women placed 15th in the Gold Division.
The Cloud County men had four runners compete, and did not score as a team.
N Vanee Anchike led the Cloud County women by placing 11th in 18:07.96 on the 5,000-meter course.
Ozia Trujillo ran 20:04.28 and finished 69th for the Thunderbirds.
Jaelyn Rumback placed 113th in 20:58.60.
Joella Mathilda crossed in 146th place in 21:44.60 and Nikola Prochazkova was 169th in 22:23.23.
The Cloud County men had Siyabonga Mokgothu finish 37th with a time of 25:44.08 on the 8,000-meter course.
Kamogelo Thipe placed 82nd in 26:38.43.
Ethan Ochana finished 137th in 27:29.33 and Andres Young was 207th in 29:02.40.
