T-Birds fall to Colby

COLBY — Falling to Colby Community College in straight sets, the Cloud County Community College volleyball team had its six-match winning streak snapped on Saturday.
Colby, in handing Cloud County its first Jayhawk Conference loss, won the first set of the match, 25-16.
The Thunderbirds, now 9-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play, lost the second set, 25-17.
Colby edged Cloud County 26-24 in the third set.
Madison Ronnebaum had eight kills for the T-Birds.
Madelynn Wells finished with 19 digs for Cloud County and Katelyn Brogan had 10.
Brogan also had 11 assists.
