T-Birds tumble to Garden City

The Cloud County Community College volleyball team dropped a Jayhawk Conference match in straight sets to Garden City Community College Wednesday night in Bryant Gymnasium.
Garden City won the first set of the match, 25-20.
Cloud County, now 19-8 overall and 5-6 in conference play, fell behind 2-0 with a 25-19 setback in the second set.
The Broncbusters, 17-9 overall and 7-5 in the conference, completed the sweep by downing the Thunderbirds 25-17 in the third set.
Bradie Medina had nine kills and 11 digs in the match for Cloud County.
Katelynn Brogan finished with five kills and 12 assists.
Ashley Suter had 10 assists for the T-Birds.
Emery May and Brette Doile had seven digs each.
Cloud County will host Central (Neb.) Community College and Cowley College in a triangular beginning at 1 p.m. Friday.
