T-Birds upset Butler

Opening Jayhawk Conference play at home, the Cloud County Community College volleyball team downed 17th-ranked Butler Community College in four sets Wednesday night in Bryant Gymnasium.
Cloud County, which has won six consecutive matches in improving to 9-1 on the season, took the first set from Butler, 25-20.
Posting a second straight 25-20 victory, the Thunderbirds went up 2-0 on the Grizzlies.
Butler made it a 2-1 match by winning the third set, 25-16.
Cloud County bounced back to close out the match at 3-1 by winning the fourth set, 25-18.
Doga Eski led the T-Birds' attack with 13 kills. She also had 16 digs.
Bradie Medina finished with 12 kills and 15 digs.
Katelynn Brogan had 20 assists for Cloud County and Brette Doile added 15.
Emery May had eight blocks for the T-Birds.
