Wamego tops CHS JV

WAMEGO — The Concordia junior varsity boys' basketball team was beaten 65-39 by Wamego on Friday night.
Wamego got out to an 18-5 lead in the first quarter.
Concordia was outscored 20-14 in the second period and trailed 38-19 at halftime.
Wamego added 16 points in the third quarter, to 13 for the Panthers, to go up 54-32.
The Red Raiders tossed in 11 points in the final period and Concordia scored seven.
Peyton Retter led Concordia with 13 points.
Jonathan Turner added 11 points.
The Concordia C-team fell 38-36 to Wamego.
Concordia was down 23-18 at halftime.
The Panthers limited Wamego to seven points in the third quarter and scored 12 to tie the game at 30-30.
The Red Raiders then outscored Concordia 8-6 in the final stanza to pull out the win.
Luke Donovan scored 16 points for the Panthers. Alan Garcia finished with 14 points.
