Bella Stuber is February Student of the Month

Concordia Junior/Senior High School staff have selected Bella Stuber as the February Student of the Month.
From hyping up the crowd cheering on the Panthers court to uplifting her classmates through Friends of Rachel, Bella stays busy during her senior year of high school. When she’s not preoccupied with her numerous extracurricular activities, she enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family.
Bella is the daughter of Kendra Krier, Mike Stuber and her stepfather, Zach Garst. She participates in golf, dance, softball, student council, National Honor Society, Catholic Youth Organization and, as mentioned before, cheer and Friends of Rachel.
Why might she stay so busy? Bella said it’s the people she gets to talk to that she enjoys most.
“I just like talking to people and seeing what they like to do, what they like to talk about, their point of view of things,” Bella said. “I like being known as a good person, where everyone’s like, ‘Oh yeah, I know Bella; she’s from this, that and the other.’ I just like getting to know new people.”
This love for quality time with others continues through her hobbies, as all three she mentioned involved simple, quiet time with folks she cares for. Beyond life at home, though, Bella has a few goals that were shaped by the experiences she had while young.
Currently, Bella studies diligently to achieve her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license, even listing her last read book as the textbook she’s studying for her classes, “Nursing Assistant Care” by Susan Alvare Hedman, Jetta Fuzy and Katherine Howard.
Bella said that she intends to continue her studies for two years at Cloud County Community College (CCCC), but eventually, she plans to attend Kansas State University (KSU) to study dietetics.
“Before my freshman year, in the summer, I had jaw surgery, and I obviously couldn’t open and chew on stuff,” Bella said. “So a dietitian had to tell us what I could and couldn’t eat to still get nutrients in my body because I was bound to lose weight anyways, but they wanted to make it so then I didn’t lose too much weight where I was malnourished.”
She continued, “I just found it was so interesting that they knew what I needed to eat and why I needed to eat it and how I could get it through my jaw.”
After experiencing this as a young person, Bella said it inspired her to help others in the same way. With a current GPA of 3.85, it seems she has the intellect required to take on the complicated challenges she’ll encounter in the future.
Inspired by her own mother’s tenacity, Bella said she aims to begin her life in the next five years by continuing her studies, achieving her degree, having a little bit of time to travel, beginning a career and starting a family.
When she begins school at CCCC in the fall, she will also join the cheer team, which she said has always been her favorite extracurricular.
“I just really like hanging out with my girls all day,” Bella said. “We’re together a lot, so it’s like hanging out with my sisters.”
A passion for people paired with the intellect and tenacity to help others seems to make for a bright future ahead. Congratulations to Bella Stuber, the CJSHS February Student of the Month.
