CCCC softball season ends with sweep by Cowley

ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. — Ending the regular season and missing the postseason by two games, the Cloud County Community College softball team got swept against the number 20-ranked Cowley.

In game one, the T-Birds lost 13-0.

Cowley came out on fire, scoring three runs in the bottom of the first, and rolling in two runs in the second.  They scored eight runs in the third inning to run-rule the T-Birds in game one.

In game two, the T-Birds lost 8-0.

Cloud was able to keep the Tigers off the board in the first inning, but in the second, Cowley scored two runs, then scored in every inning the rest of the game. Scoring two in the third, one in the fourth, two in the fifth, and one in the sixth, the T-Bird’s season ended with the 8-0 loss.
