CHS track competes at Beloit Relays, girls finish fifth in 3A/4A

BELOIT — In the largest meet of the year, featuring 31 teams from across north and central Kansas, the Concordia High School track team finished eighth on the 3A/4A boys side, and fifth on the girls side.

100m dash —Boys: Kaide Gropp finished fourth with a time of 11.41. Brier Thompson of Hoisington won with a time of 10.95.

200m dash — Girls: Lilian Nuss was fourth with a time of 27.67. Marley Bittel of Hoisington was first with a time of 25.80. Boys: Kaide Gropp was second with a time of 23.49. Javen Garcia was sixth with a time of 24.32. Thompson (Hoisington) won with a time of 22.77.

800m run — Girls: Rylie Jessup was fourth with a time of 2:29.83. Lauren Smith of Clay Center was first with a time of 2:22.41.

300m hurdles — Girls: Charlize Cash was first with a time of 48.60. Avery Kueker was fifth with a time of 51.84.

4x100m relay — Girls: the team of Madalyn Bowers, Lilian Nuss, Marlee VanMeter, and Avery Kueker was fourth with a time of 51.98. Beloit won with a time of 50.51. Boys: the team of Ryker Wildeman, Javen Garcia, Matthew Naillieux, and Kaide Gropp finished fourth with a time of 45.25. Hoisington won with a time of 43.62.

4x400m relay — Girls: the team of Lilian Nuss, Ava Metro, Rylie Jessup, and Charlize Cash was fifth with a time of 4:21.02. Clay Center won with a time of 4:12.12.

4x800m relay — Girls: the team of Rylie Jessup, Aubrey Stahlman, Ashlynn James, and Hannah Bridwell finished third with a time of 10:33.30. Southeast of Saline was first with a time of 10:12.33.

High Jump — Girls: Gabi Lange finished second with a height of 5’. Avery Kueker was fourth with a height of 4’10”. Elliana Smith of Southeast of Saline was first with a height of 5’6”.

Triple Jump: Boys—Reese Franklin was fifth with a jump of 38’6.25”. Matthew Naillieux was eighth with a jump of 36’2.25”, and Danner Benfer was 10th with a jump of 35’6.5”. Tate Nurnberg of Southeast of Saline was first with a jump of 44’4.5”.

Pole Vault — Girls: Gabi Lange was third with a height of 9’6”. Keely Kindel was sixth with a height of 8’6”, and Trinity McWhorter was eighth, also with a height of 8’6”. Ashlyn Loomis of Beloit was first with a height of 10’6”.

Discus — Boys: Jadrian Riley was third with a throw of 147’4”. Dane Cleveland was seventh with a throw of 128’. Eli Johnson of Beloit was first with a throw of 168’2”.

Shot Put — Boys: Dane Cleveland was sixth with a throw of 44’5”. Jadrian Riley was ninth with a throw of 42’6”.
