CHS track competes at Clay Center Invitational, 26 top 10 finishes

CLAY CENTER — Kicking off the spring season with a strong all-around performance, the Concordia High School track team picked up 11 top five finishes, and 26 top 10 finishes at the Clay Center Invitational.

In the girls 100 meter dash, Avery Kueker finished in fifth place with a time of 14.24. Madalyn Bowers finished in 12th, Airiana Wogomon finished in 14th, and Alyssa Robbins finished in 29th. Brecken Boudreaux of Beloit got first with a time of 13.85 seconds.

In the boys 100 meter dash, Javen Garcia finished in sixth place with a time of 11.9. Ryker Wildeman finished in 9th place with a time of 12.44; Brigham Chavey finished in 34th place. Levi White of Republic County got first with a time of 11 seconds.

In the girls 200 meter dash, Kueker finished in second with a time of 29.12. Wogomon finished in sixth with a time of 29.86, Bowers finished in seventh with a time of 29.88, Lilian Nuss finished 11th, Ava Metro finished in 12th, Robbins finished in 28th. Tovah Catlin of Clay Center got first with a time of 28.94 seconds.

In the boys 200 meter dash, Javin Garcia finished third with a time of 24.49. Chavey finished 10th with a time of 25.51. Levi White of Republic County got first with a time of 23.38 seconds.

In the girls 400 meter dash, Marlee VanMeter finished in third place with a time on 1:07.6, Nuss finished in fourth place with a time of 1:08.14, Ashlynn James finished in sixth place with a time of 1:11. 67, Asia Garcia finished in 12th. Regan Duran of Southeast of Saline got first with a time of 1:04.9.

In the boys 400 meter dash, Matthew Naillieux finished in sixth place with a time of 57.16. Reese Franklin finished in ninth with a time of 1:00.56. Kyler Sheets finished in 12th place. Amarion Holub of Southeast of Saline got first with a time of 53.31 seconds.

In the girls 800 meter run, Rylie Jessup finished in third with a time of 2:36.06, and Hannah Bridwell finished in 5th with a time of 2:43.06. Aubryn Just of Minneapolis got first with a time of 2:33.67.

In the boys 800 meter run, Sheets got 16th place. Brayden Walker of Southeast of Saline got first with a time of 2:04.65.

In the boys 1,600 meter run, Brody Marsh finished in 13th place, Gunner Barnes got 17th, Alex Gallardo got 21st, Daniel Reedy got 23rd. Brayden Walker of Southeast of Saline got first with a time of 4:36.48.

In the boys 3,200 meter run, Marsh finished in 12th place. Jacob Tonne of Southeast of Saline got first with a time of 10:59.42.

In the girls 300 meter hurdles, Charlize Cash finished in second with a time of 49.65. Anna Lambert of Riley County got first with a time of 49.36 seconds.

In the boys 100 meter hurdles, Isaias Irigoyen got seventh with a time of 46.94. Malachi Hopkins of Southeast of Saline got first with a time of 43.34 seconds.

In the girls 4x100m relay, the team of Madalyn Bowers, Lilian Nuss, Kynlee Hamel and Avery Kueker finished in second place with a time of 52.47. Beloit got first with a time of 52.10.

In the girls 4x400m relay, the team of Marlee VanMeter, Char Cash, Ava Metro and Lilian Nuss finished in third place with a time of 4:29.83. Clay Center got first with a time of 4:14.81.

In the boys 4x400m relay, the team of Carter Eakins, Isaias Irigoyen, Reese Franklin and Matthew Naillieux finished in seventh place. Clay Center got first.

In the girls 4x800m relay, the team of Riley Jessup, Aubrey Stahlman, Ashlynn James and Hannah Bridwell finished in sixth place. Clay Center got first with a time of 10:18.91.

In the boys 4x800m relay, the team of Brody Marsh, Alex Gallardo, Burklee Jackson and Gunner Barnes finished in sixth place. Southeast of Salina finished in first place.

In the girls high jump, Kueker got fourth with a height of 4 ft 10 inches, Gabi Lange got seventh with a height of 4 ft 8 inches, and Kynlee Hamel got eighth with a height of 4 ft 8 in. Sophia Thompson of Beloit got first with a height of 5 ft 4 in.

In the boys high jump, Irigoyan tied for fourth with a height of 5 ft 6 in. Conner Ohlde of Linn got first with a height of 5 ft 10 in.

In the girls long jump, VanMeter finished in seventh place with a distance of 16 feet, 7.25 inches. Aubrey Stahlman finished in 15th place, and Asia Garcia finished in 16th place. Brecken Boudreaux of Beloit got first with a mark of 18 ft.

In the boys long jump, Matthew Naillieux got sixth with a mark of 19 feet 5.75 inches, Tanner Bender got 18th, Carter Eakins got 19th, and William Metcalf got 21st. Gannon Jacobson of Southeast of Saline got first with a mark of 20-5.5.

In the girls triple jump, Stahlman finished in 10th place with a distance of 30-1.5.

In the boys triple jump, Reese Franklin got second with a mark of 40-9.75, Eakins got 10th with a mark of 34-4.5, and Metcalf got 14th.

In the girls shot put, Jori Letourneau finished in 10th place with a distance of 25-10.25. Marlie Johnson finished in 11th place.

In the boys shot put, Dane Cleveland got 15th place and Ayden Seward got 29th. Griffin Johnson of Beloit got first with a mark of 52-1.5.

In the girls discus, Letourneau finished in seventh with a distance of 87 feet 4 inches, and Johnson got 10th with a distance of 76 feet 9 inches. Cassandra Thompson of Beloit got first with a distance of 119 feet three inches.

In the boys discus, Jadrian Riley got first with a distance of 150 ft 2 inches, Cleveland got sixth with a distance of 116 ft 6 inches, Burklee Jackson got 22nd, Kyle McFadden got 28th, Caden Stein got 30th, Rylan Christiansen got 32nd, Brody Knox got 34th.

In the girls javelin, Rylie Jessup got sixth with a distance of 96 ft 8 in, Alexis Luecke got 14th, Lange got 15th. Halle Koppes of Clay Center got first with a distance of 125 ft 8 inches.

In the boys javelin, Riley got eighth with a distance of 123 ft 8 in, Knox finished in 11th place, Francisco Ayala got 13th, Warric Eakins got 22nd, Jackson got 25th, Christiansen got 35th.

In the girls pole vault, Lange got third with a mark of 8 ft 6 in, Keely Kindel got eighth with a mark of 7 ft 6 in, Trinity McWhorter got 10th with a height of 7 ft 6 in. Ashlyn Loomis of Beloit finished first with a mark of 10 ft.

In the boys pole vault, Burke Kindel finished third with a height of 11 ft 6 inches. Henry Tice of Beloit finished first with a height of 12 ft 6 in.
