As part of Twin Valley's Youth Scholarship Program, the company has awarded $11,000 in scholarships to 11 local seniors who live in the Twin Valley service area. The scholarships can be used toward tuition at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the 2025-26 school year.
The program supports local students and encourages the retention of talent and families in rural Kansas. Those selected are graduates from high schools in Twin Valley communities and have expressed a desire to give back to rural areas after graduation.
"Education has the power to transform both individuals and the places they call home," said Ben Foster, Twin Valley president and CEO. "By supporting these students, we're helping to grow the next generation of leaders, innovators and neighbors who will keep rural Kansas thriving."
Rylie Wunderle of Clifton-Clyde High School was one of the scholarship winners. Wunderle plans to attend Kansas State University and major in Animal Science, Pre-Veterinary.
As Kansas' largest independently owned broadband and communications company, Twin Valley has served rural Kansas for more than 80 years. In addition to the Youth Scholarship Program, Twin Valley provides more than $100,000 in annual community support across its service area. These donations and sponsorships benefit youth enrichment programs, community events, veterans' programs and other local initiatives.
