Ending their season in the first round of the Eastern Regional tournament, CNB fell 12-0 to Beloit.
After a three-up-three-down top of the first inning for CNB, Beloit came out on fire with four runs scored and two more in scoring position before out three limited the damage.
In the top of the second, Peyton Ryals picked up what would be the only hit of the day for CNB with a leadoff single, but a double play would make it another three-up-three-down second inning. Beloit continued with their momentum with seven more runs to make it an 11-0 game.
After CNB couldn’t get on base in the top of the third, Beloit added one more run to make it a 12-0 game, and Beloit would win by run-rule.
