Concordia Peewee Baseball 7-10-25

BELLEVILLE/CLIFTON — Travelling to Belleville and Clifton for the first round of the district tournaments, the Concordia Lions and Chevys had their season ended in the first round. The Knights recieved a bye.

Monday July 7

Lions vs Linn @ Clifton

The Lions had their season ended in the first round of the district tournament against the Linn Bulldogs. Linn came out strong with three runs in the top of the first inning. Timothy Shepard got the Lions on the board in the bottom of the inning, with Luke Peterson and Blayne Sorensen getting into scoring position before the inning ended. Linn brought in two more runs in the top of the second to expand their lead to four. Lions got another run in the bottom of the second thanks to Zyker Starr being brought home by Parson Link. Another Lion run in the bottom of the third from Sorensen made it a 5-3 game. The Lions took the lead in the fourth with Cooper Lamb, Link, and Shepard scoring to take a 6-5 lead. The Bulldogs exploded for seven runs in the fifth, and Brently Odette scored in the bottom of the inning for the Lions, as the game ended 12-7, Linn.

Chevys vs Belleville Haarslev @ Belleville

The Chevys had their season ended with a 20-9 loss to Haarslev in the first round of the district tournament. Haarslev opened the game with four runs in the top of the first. The Chevys brought in a pair of runs by Evan Francis and Henry Hutchinson to keep the game close early. Belleville scored three runs in the second, with the Chevys taking the lead with six runs scored to make it an 8-7 game. Haarslev put the game away in the third, with 13 runs scored, and with Chevys only bringing in one run by Beau Letourneau, ending the game by run rule.

Wednesday July 2

Concordia Lions vs Concordia Knights

The Knights defeated the Lions 6-0. The Knights jumped out to a five-run lead with Carson Farha, Maklen Brown, Jaden Farha, Jack Gilliland, and Hunter Ryals scoring to make it a 5-0 game. Brown scored again in the bottom of the second for the Knights to make it a 6-0 game and neutralize the Lions for the rest of the game.

Parson Link picked up the only hit of the game in the top of the first; Luke Peterson and Zyker Starr were walked in the game for the Lions.

Concordia Legion vs Washington Blue

The Legion had their season ended after falling to the Washington Blue 15-2, the winner earned the last spot in the district tournament. Washington scored two runs in the first, and two in the second, before the Legion got on the board in the bottom of the second with Logan White stealing home. Landon Lewis got to third before out three ended the inning 4-1. Washington scored one more run in the third, which was neutralized by Trey Trost scoring by stealing home after hitting a triple. The Blue scored one run in the fourth before exploding for 10 runs in the fifth, as the Legion offense—struggled—as the Blue won their first game of the season.
