Eagles track takes top honors at Lions Club meet

BELLEVILLE—Competing at one of the larger meets of the year against some of the best talent across northeast and northcentral Kansas, the Clifton-Clyde track team took a first-place team finish with many top-three finishes at the Lions Club track meet in Belleville.

All results are from the lower division.

In the girls’ 100m, Sevy Wurtz was first with a time of 12.4.

In the girls’ 100m hurdles, Nellie Fahey was third with a time of 20.27, Tianna Reeves of Pike Valley was first with a time of 17.9.

In the boys’ 200m, Luke Nobert was second with a time of 24 seconds, and Xavier Miller of Lincoln was first with a time of 23.31.

In the girls’ 200m, Sevy Wurtz was first with a time of 27.59.

In the boys’ 400m, Luke Nobert was second with a time of 52.41, Aekley Goeckel was 10th with a time of 58.54, and Kaden Rudolph was 12th with a time of 58.54. Miller (Lincoln) was first with a time of 50.66.

In the boys’ 800m, Bryson Flesher was 11th with a time of 2:33.58, and Titus Cobb of Blue Valley-Randolph was first with a time of 2:06.97.

In the girls’ 800m, Piper Lawson was 10th with a time of 3:06.18, and Lilly Bruna of Hanover was first with a time of 2:31.68.

In the boys’ 1600m, Trace Harvey was 11th with a time of 6:15.71, and Cobb (BVR) was first with a time of 5:02.39.

In the girls’ 1600m, Gracie Koch was 12th with a time of 7:39.38, and Lillie Crose was 13th with a time of 7:57.44. Breonna Peterson of Tescott was first with a time of 5:53.83.

In the boys’ 3200m, Remy Girard was seventh with a time of 12:21.43, Adam Jarvis was eighth with a time of 12:58, and Broden Kolman was ninth with a time of 13:09.32. Cobb (BVR) was first with a time of 10:16.55.

In the boys’ discus, Locklund Feight was first with a throw of 151’4”, Ryan LeClair was second with a throw of 134’1”, and Ryan Coles was 15th with a throw of 88’8”.

In the girls’ discus, Calyn Baker was first with a throw of 125’4”, Sydney Huncovsky was sixth with a throw of 94’5”, and Annika Wernecke was seventh with a throw of 90’5”.

In the boys’ javelin, Ryan LeClair was ninth with a throw of 123’6”, Kaden Rudolph was 14th with a throw of 97’, and Ryan Coles was 15th with a throw of 92’7”. Conrad Winter of Linn was first with a throw of 158’.

In the girls’ javelin, Paige Joy was first with a throw of 122, and Sydney Huncovsky was 11th with a throw of 74’2”.

In the boys’ shot put, Locklund Feight was second with a throw of 43’0.5”, Ryan LeClair was fifth with a throw of 40’10.25”, and Ceyton Wunderle was ninth with a throw of 35’8.25”. Easton Good of Lincoln was first with a throw of 49’5.25”.

In the girls’ shot put, Calyn Baker was first with a throw of 38’ 4.5”, and Annika Wernecke was fourth with a throw of 32’2.25”.

In the boys’ high jump, Jacob Newton was fourth with a height of 5’6”, and Logan Sandmann of Axtell was first with a height of 6’4”.

In the girls’ high jump, Paige Joy was second with a height of 5’, and Eden Close was fifth with a height of 4’6”. Bryleigh Brockman of BVR was first with a height of 5’2”

In the boys’ long jump, Braxton Otwell was 12th with a jump of 12’9”, and Hunter Kickhaefer of Hanover was first with a jump of 18’11.5”.

In the girls’ long jump, Sevy Wurtz was first with a jump of 17’11’, and Jayden Howard was ninth with a jump of 12’0.0”.

In the girls’ triple jump, Sevy Wurtz was first with a jump of 56’4.5”, and Jayden Howard was 11th with a jump of 24’3.75”.

In the boys’ pole vault, Brady Pruser was first with a height of 14’6”, breaking his own school record set last meet.

In the girls’ pole vault, Jordi Fahey was first with a height of 10’, Nellie Fahey was second with a height of 9’, and Addie Walter was third with a height of 7’6”.

In the boys’ 4x100m relay, the team of Striker Affolter, Joseph Fahey, Luke Nobert, and Brady Pruser was fourth with a time of 46.68. Lincoln was first with a time of 44.59.

In the girls’ 4x100m relay, the team of Eden Close, Jordan Howard, Nellie Fahey, and Paige Joy was fourth with a time of 59.12. Linn was first with a time of 53.59.

In the boys’ 4x800m relay, the team of Cohen Girard, Joseph Fahey, Striker Affolter, and Jacob Newton was third with a time of 9:14. Axtell was first with a time of 8:45.6.

In the girls’ 4x800m relay, the team of Piper Lawson, Kiersten Robbins, Gracen Sacco, and Lillie Crose was fifth with a time of 12:20.58. Axtell was first with a time of 11:09.02.
