“The girls had a great day today. We were able to have all of them participate, whether it was 18 holes, 9 holes individually, or 9 holes as a scramble with a partner,” said head coach Gene Rundus.
“I realize that Carey Park and Concordia Golf and Wellness are two very different courses, but they each present their own unique challenges, too. I was very pleased to see our team score go from 402 to 365. With that score, we were able to hold off a good Rock Creek team by ten strokes and win the tournament. Mya had a very solid day with a 73 and medaled as the individual champion. Preslee Marsh shot a 93 and medaled 5th. Anna Widen tied for 8th with a 99, and Maddie Bowers came in 10th with a 100. All the girls had some really nice shots today, and even when things weren’t going as planned, they really hung in there and made it a successful day.”
