Opening the season at a delayed time due to the heat, the Concordia High School football team defeated Abilene 33-0 to kick off the season 1-0.

The Panthers got rolling quickly; after the first play from scrimmage went for a two-yard loss, Braytin Hake took the ball 68 yards on an inside run to put Concordia up 6-0. After shutting down the Abilene offense, the Panthers methodically marched down the field, with Hake scoring a two-yard touchdown run with 3:42 left in the first to go up 13-0.

After a drive for each team, unable to create offense, Kale Schroeder flipped the field with a 67-yard punt that put the Cowboys on the two-yard line, and the Panthers forced a safety to make it 15-0 with just under 11 minutes to go in the second quarter. The Panthers were able to march down the field but had a field goal blocked, and were unable to do anything on offense. Then, the Panthers got the ball back at the Cowboys' 39-yard line. One play later, Jett Flax hit Ayden Krier for a 39-yard passing touchdown to go up 21-0, a score that they took into halftime.

Holding Abilene to a three-and-out to open the second half, just two plays later the Cowboys got the ball back on a fumble. After another Abilene three-and-out, the Panthers chewed the clock to last over eight minutes, and the quarter ended with the Panthers holding a 21-0 lead.

On the first play of the fourth quarter, Krier scored a two-yard touchdown run to put the Panthers up 27-0. After quickly forcing and recovering a fumble on the following drive, the Panthers scored in just two plays, with Flax hitting Schroeder for a 40-yard touchdown to go up 33-0 with 10:45 to go.

Three plays into the following Cowboy drive, Ian Loudermilk got an interception to give the Panthers the ball back on the Cowboys' 33, but the drive ended up stalling. After forcing a turnover on downs, the Panthers ran the clock out and defeated the Cowboys 33-0.

Flax led in passing with 108 yards and two touchdowns on six completions; Brandon Vignery had 15 yards on one completion. Hake led in rushing with 119 yards on 19 carries with two touchdowns; Krier had 53 yards on six rushes with a touchdown; Matthew Naillieux had 35 yards on four rushes. Thirteen Panthers had rush attempts. Schroeder had 62 yards on three receptions with a touchdown; Krier had 58 yards on three receptions.

Koehn WIlliams led in tackles with seven, with a tackle for a loss and a sack; Deekon Holbert and Krier had five. Naillieux and Loudermilk each had an interception, and Ryker Wildeman had a fumble recovery.
