Panther girls track takes first place at Minneapolis Invite

MINNEAPOLIS, Kan. — Traveling south to nearby Minneapolis for the final meet before the NCKL meet, the Concordia High School track team took home first- and eighth-place team finishes, with 13 top-three finishes.

The Panther girls’ team was first with 107 points, beating Smoky Valley by one point, and the boys’ team was eighth with 29 points; Smith Center was first with 132 points.

In the boys’ 100m, Javen Garcia was third with a time of 11.55, Matthew Naillieux was seventh with a time of 11.92, and Ryker Wildeman was 17th with a time of 12.2. David Pando of Lyons was first with a time of 11.3.

In the girls’ 100m, Lillian Nuss was first with a time of 13.09, Madalyn Bowers was fourth with a time of 13.63, and Brexlynn Koch was fifth with a time of 13.95.

In the girls’ 100m hurdles, Charlize Cash was fifth with a time of 18.06, and Turner Rentschler of Smith Center was first with a time of 16.67.

In the boys’ 200m, Javen Garcia was seventh with a time of 23.82, Ryker Wildeman was 16th with a time of 25.14, and Derrick Jumper was 17th with a time of 25.178. Andrew Lochard of Smoky Valley was first with a time of 22.75.

In the girls’ 200m, Lillian Nuss was third with a time of 27.73, Brexlynn Koch was eighth with a time of 29.41, and Oakleigh Teel was ninth with a time of 29.53. Braelyn Whittaker of Smoky Valley was first with a time of 26.71.

In the boys’ 300m hurdles, Stanley Dervil was fifth with a time of 46.32, and Carson McKelvey of Smith Center was first with a time of 40.27.

In the girls’ 300m hurdles, Charlize Cash was fourth with a time of 51.94, and Abigail Gaston of Chapman was first with a time of 49.85.

In the boys’ 400m, Jett Flax was 16th with a time of 1:01.7, and Zack Stovall was 17th with a time of 1:02.78. Braylon Olson of Smoky Valley was first with a time of 51.43.

In the girls’ 400m, Ashlynn James was 10th with a time of 1:11.5, and Brylie Ricketts of Smoky Valley was first with a time of 1:00.52.

In the boys’ 800m, Brody Marsh was seventh with a time of 2:14.64, and Alex Gallardo was 15th with a time of 2:31.14. Riley DeLorenoz of Chapman was first with a time of 2:04.06.

In the girls’ 800m, Hannah Bridwell was first with a time of 2:27.55, and Rylie Jessup was third with a time of 2:28.96.

In the boys’ 1600m, Alex Gallardo was 16th with a time of 5:45.84, and Gavin Hickert of Smith Center was first with a time of 4:34.54.

In the boys’ discus, Brody Knox was 10th with a throw of 116’2”, Caden Stein was 15th with a throw of 108’3”, and Nolan Christensen was 24th with a throw of 95’6”. Brant Wilson of Smith Center was first with a throw of 166’.

In the girls’ discus, Marlie Metzler was 13th with a throw of 81’7”, Jori Letourneau was 16th with a throw of 71’3”, and Kaziah Regnier was 18th with a throw of 62’9”. Kylie Stone of Republic County was first with a throw of 116’6”.

In the boys’ javelin, Jett Flax was ninth with a throw of 138’7”, Brody Knox was 12th with a throw of 130’1”, and Caden Stein was 20th with a throw of 112’1”. Brady Wilson of Smith Center was first with a throw of 167’10”.

In the girls’ javelin, Kingly Kisby was 14th with a throw of 87’2”, Rubi Trost was 17th with a throw of 85’2”, and Alexis Luecke was 23rd with a throw of 62’3”. Halie Koppes of Clay Center was first with a throw of 136’6”, good for the number 50 throw in the US (per Athletic.net).

In the boys’ shot put, Brody Knox was eighth with a throw of 40’7.75”, Caden Stein was 15th with a throw of 37’10”, and Nolan Christensen was 27th with a throw of 31’7”. Auley Boughfman of Smoky Valley was first with a throw of 43’9.5”.

In the girls’ shot put, Gabi Lange was second with a throw of 34’3.5”, Marlie Metzler was 11th with a throw of 27’9”, and Jori Letourneau was 12th with a throw of 27’1”. Kaydyne Armknecht of Smith Center was first with a throw of 37’1”.

In the boys’ high jump, Stanley Dervil was third with a height of 5’’10”, and Zack Stovall was 10th with a height of 5’2”. David Mick of St. John’s was first with a height of 6’.

In the girls’ high jump, Avery Kueker was third with a height of 5’, Marlee VanMeter was third with a height of 4’10”, and Oakleigh Teel was seventh with a height of 4’8”. Trista Spitler of Smoky Valley was first with a height of 5’2”.

In the boys’ long jump, Javen Garcia was third with a jump of 19’4.75”, Matthew Naillieux was sixth with a jump of 18’5.5”, and Zack Stovall was 12th with a jump of 16’10.25”. Edward Horinek of St. John’s was first with a jump of 19’11.25”.

In the girls’ long jump, Avery Kueker was first with a jump of 15’11.25”, Marlee VanMeter was fourth with a jump of 15’5”, and Rubi Trost was seventh with a jump of 14”11.75”.

In the boys’ triple jump, Reese Franklin was third with a jump of 40’9”, and Derrick Jumper was ninth with a jump of 36’10.5”. Horinek (STJ) was first with a jump of 41’11”.

In the girls’ triple jump, Avery Kueker was first with a jump of 35’10”, Charlize Cash was fourth with a jump of 33’7”, and Rubi Trost was eighth with a jump of 31’2”.

In the girls’ pole vault, Gabi Lange was fourth with a height of 9’6”, and Adelynn Kirkpatrick of Chapman was first with a height of 10’3”.

In the boys’ 4x100m relay, the team of Ryker Wildeman, Matthew Naillieux, Kyler Sheets, and Javen Garcia was fifth with a time of 45.76. Lyons was first with a time of 44.99.

In the girls’ 4x100m relay, the team of Madalyn Bowers, Lillian Nuss, Marlee VanMeter, and Avery Kueker was first with a time of 51.64.

In the girls’ 4x400m relay, the team of Marlee VanMeter, Hannah Bridwell, Rylie Jessup, and Lillian Nuss was third with a time of 4:23.39. Clay Center was first with a time of 4:16.37.
