Panther track competes at Beloit Relays

BELOIT — Traveling to nearby Beloit for the prestigious Beloit Relays, the Concordia High School track team picked up 10 top finishes against some of the best athletes in the state of Kansas.

Both the boys’ and girls’ teams were in eighth place with 42 and 33 points, Beloit won with 132 and 87 points.

In the boys’ 100m, Javen Garcia was second with a time of 11.47, and Matthew Naillieux was seventh with a time of 11.93. TyRay Snyder of Phillipsburg was first with a time of 11.44.

In the girls’ 100m, Lillian Nuss was sixth with a time of 13 seconds, and Madalyn Bowers was seventh with a time of 13.26. Marley Bittel of Hoisington was first with a time of 12.4.

In the boys’ 200m, Javen Garcia was first with a time of 22.95.

In the boys’ 400m, Jett Flax was 16th with a time of 1:00.72, and William Metcalf was 17th with a time of 1:01.47. Caleb Knopf of Southeast of Saline was first with a time of 52.24.

In the girls’ 400m, Rylie Jessup was 13th with a time of 1:04.24, and Ashlynn James was 22nd with a time of 1:09.16. Marley Bittel of Hosington was first with a time of 1:00.53.

In the boys’ 800m, Brody Marsh was ninth with a time of 2:16.04; Riley DeLorenzo of Chapman was first with a time of 2:04.15. 

In the girls’ 800m, Hannah Bridwell was second with a time of 2:29.41, and Rylie Jessup was fifth with a time of 2:30.87. Piper Brown of SES was first with a time of 2:25.75.

In the boys’ 1600m, Daniel Reedy was 18th with a time of 5:38.33, and Kalvin Keller was 19th with a time of 6:22.21. Brayden Walker of SES was first with a time of 4:36.56.

In the boys’ 300m hurdles, Stanley Dervil was 13th with a time of 46.03; Tanner Horinek of Phillipsburg was first with a time of 41.28.

In the boys’ high jump, Stanley Dervil was first with a height of 6’4”.

In the girls’ high jump, Avery Kueker was sixth with a height of 4’10”, Marlee VanMeter was seventh with a height of 4’8”, and Oakleigh Teel was 10th with a height of 4’6”. Elliana Smith of SES was first with a height of 5’6”.

In the boys’ long jump, Javen Garcia was fifth with a jump of 20’2.5”, Matthew Naillieux was 12th with a jump of 18’4.5”, and Kalvin Keller was 19th with a jump of 15’10.25”. Malachi Hopkins of SES was first with a jump of 21’6”.

In the girls’ long jump, Avery Kueker was third with a jump of 16’10.25”, and Marlee VanMeter was fifth with a jump of 15’7”. Brecken Boudreaux of Beloit was first with a jump of 17’11.25”.

In the boys’ triple jump, Reese Franklin was fourth with a jump of 41’10.5”, and William Metcalf was 15th with a jump of 33’0.5”. Gunner Gray of Beloit was first with a jump of 43’1”.

In the girls’ triple jump, Avery Kueker was fourth with a jump of 33’0.5”, and Rubi Trost was 10th with a jump of 30’2.25”. Sarah Effiong of Riley County was first with a jump of 36’9.25”.

In the girls’ pole vault, Gabi Lange was third with a height of 9’. Bently Pruitt of Beloit was first with a height of 10’.

In the boys’ discus, Caden Stein was 21st with a throw of 103’5”, Rylan Christensen was 25th with a throw of 95’5”, and Brody Knox was 28th with a throw of 92’9”. Layton Hoffman of Hoisington was first with a throw of 165’10”.

In the girls’ discus, Marlie Metzler was 19th with a throw of 89’, and Jori Letourneau was 23rd with a throw of 80’10”. Samantha Thompson of Beloit was first with a throw of 136’8”.

In the boys’ javelin, Jett Flax was 11th with a throw of 139’2”, Caden Stein was 19th with a throw of 19th with a throw of 117’6”, and Rylan Christensen was 25th with a throw of 93’10”. Caleb Leidig of Phillipsburg was first with a throw of 182’7”.

In the girls’ javelin, Rubi Trost was 22nd with a throw of 83’1”, Halle Joppes of Clay Center was first with a throw of 149’.

In the boys’ shot put, Brody Knox was 12th with a throw of 41’5.5”, Griffin Johnson of Beloit was first with a throw of 57’4.5”.

In the girls’ shot put, Gabi Lange was ninth with a throw of 31’6”, Marlie Metzler was 17th with a throw of 28’3.25”, and Jori Letourneau was 22nd with a throw of 26’8.5”. Pruitt (Beloit) was first with a throw of 39’8.75”.

In the boys’ 4x100m relay, the team of Ryker Wildeman, Matthew Naillieux, Derrick Jumper, and Javen Garcia was second with a time of 45.3. Phillipsburg was first with a time of 44.68.

In the girls’ 4x100m relay, the team of Madalyn Bowers, Lillian Nuss, Marlee VanMeter, and Avery Kueker was third with a time of 51.12.

In the girls’ 4x400m relay, the team of Marlee VanMeter, Hannah Bridwell, Rylie Jessup, and Lillian Nuss was seventh with a time of 4:23.6.
