In the lone home track meet of the year, the Concordia High School track team hosted the 10-team Concordia Invitational, with the Panthers taking home 11 top-three finishes.
The Panther girls finished in fourth place with 69.5 points. The Beloit girls won the meet with 149.5 points. The Panther boys finished seventh with 42 points. Southeast of Saline boys won the meet with 130 points.
100 meter dash: Girls, Avery Kueker finished in sixth place with a time of 13.84. Madalyn Bowers finished eighth with a time of 13.7. Sofia Spies of Buhler finished first with a time of 12.78. Boys, Kaide Gropp finished second with a time of 11.74. Javen Garcia finished seventh with a time of 12.1. Ben Clouse of Buhler finished first with a time of 11.42.
200m: Girls, Kueker finished fourth with a time of 28.25. Airiana Wogomon finished eighth with a time of 28.91, and Ava Metro got 10th with a time of 29.64. Spies (Buhler) got first with a time of 26.92. Boys, Gropp finished fifth with a time of 23.91. Javen Garcia got seventh with a time of 24.31. Cole McKelvey of Smith Center finished first with a time of 23.46.
400m: Girls, Marlee VanMeter finished sixth with a time of 1:06.6. Sarah Miller of Marysville got first with a time of 1:02.01.
800m: Girls, Rylie Jessup finished second with a time of 2:29.33. Regan Duran of SES finished first with a time of 2:28.89.
100m hurdles: Charlize Cash finished third with a time of 17.65. Elliana Smith of SES got first with a time of 16.54.
300m hurdles: Cash finished second with a time of 48.32. Smith (SES) got first with a time of 48.30.
4x100m relay: Girls, the team of Madalyn Bowers, Lilian Nuss, Kynlee Hamel, and Avery Kueker finished second with a time of 51.46, Beloit won with a time of 50.75. Boys, the team of Ryker Wildeman, Brigham Chavey, Isaias Irigoyen, and Javen Garcia finished third with a time of 45.59. Chapman won with a time of 44.76.
4x400m relay: Girls, the team of Marlee VanMeter, Ava Metro, Lilian Nuss, and Charlize Cash got first with a time of 4:22.89.
4x400m relay: Girls, the team of Rylie Jessup, Aubrey Stahlman, Ashlynn James, and Hannah Bridwell finished second with a time of 10:45.14. Beloit won with a time of 10:21.66.
4x800m relay: Girls, the team of Jessup, Stahlman, James, and Bridwell finished second with a time of 10:45.14. SES finished first with a time of 10:21.66.
Shot put: Boys, Jadrian Riley got fifth with a throw of 44’ 7’’. Dane Cleveland got eighth with a throw of 43’ 6.5’’. Brodie Boudreaux of Beloit finished first with a throw of 55’ 1.5’’.
Discus: Boys, Riley finished second with a throw of 154’. Cleveland finished seventh with a throw of 131’ 5’’. Eli Johnson of Beloit finished first with a throw of 179’ 10’’.
Javelin: Girls, Rylie Jessup finished seventh with a throw of 97’ 2’’. Boys, Brody Knox finished eighth with a throw of 138’ 10’’. Riley finished ninth with a throw of 138’ 7’’. Brooks Jones of Beloit got first with a throw of 173’ 6’’.
Pole vault: Girls, Gabi Lange finished fourth with a height of 9’. Jordi Fahey of Clifton-Clyde finished first with a height of 10’. Boys, Burke Kindel finished fifth with a height of 12’. Mason Smith of Minneapolis won with a height of 13” 6’.
High jump: Girls, Kueker finished fourth with a height of 5’. Lange tied for fifth with a height of 4’ 8’’. Elliana Smith (SES) got first with a height of 5’ 6’’.
Long jump: Girls, Marlee VanMeter finished eighth with a jump of 16’ 5.5’’. Spies (Buhler) finished first with a jump of 18’ 2.5’’. Boys, Matthew Naillieux finished fifth with a jump of 19’ 4.5’’. Malachi Hopkins of Southeast of Saline was first with a distance of 21’ 2’’.
Triple jump: Girls, Charlize Cash finished third with a jump of 34’ 7.5’’. Sevy Wurtz of Clifton-Clyde finished first with a jump of 36’ 4’’. Boys, Reese Franklin earned a silver medal with a jump of 40’ 8.5’’. Gunner Gray of Beloit got first with a jump of 41’ 5’’.
